Dental Website Cost in Canada

How Much Does a Dental Website Cost in Canada?

Prices for dental websites vary widely. These are the ranges published by Canadian sources in 2026, what each tier tends to include and the factors that move a quote up or down.

Short answer

Published 2026 ranges for dental websites in Canada run from under CA$2,000 for a template or do-it-yourself site to CA$4,500 to CA$8,000 for an entry professional build, CA$8,000 to CA$18,000 for a full-service custom site and CA$18,000 to CA$50,000 for a multi-location group, according to WebDesignGuide. Ongoing care and hosting add a monthly cost. Scope, content and features drive where a project lands.

Published price ranges for dental websites

WebDesignGuide, a Canadian web design publisher, published the following tiers for dentist websites in its 2026 guide, updated in June 2026.1 Its table excludes ongoing hosting and booking software subscriptions.

Dentist website tiers in Canada, as published by WebDesignGuide (2026)
TierTypical scope describedPublished range (CAD)Timeline described
Template or do-it-yourselfPlatform template, 5 to 8 pages, no booking widget or SEO set-up$0 to $2,0001 to 3 weeks
Entry professionalWordPress or Webflow, 10 to 15 pages, booking widget, basic local SEO$4,500 to $8,0005 to 7 weeks
Full-serviceCustom design, 15 to 25 treatment pages, booking, new patient page, photography direction, Google Business Profile set-up$8,000 to $18,0008 to 12 weeks
Multi-location groupHub-and-spoke structure, location pages, bilingual English and French, schema per location$18,000 to $50,00012 to 22 weeks

The same guide gives a slightly different figure for multi-location builds in its FAQ, CA$20,000 to CA$50,000, so treat the lower end as approximate.1

Ongoing costs

A website keeps costing money after launch. WebDesignGuide lists these monthly ranges for dental practices in Canada:1

  • A monthly care and SEO plan covering hosting, updates, a monthly article, Google Business Profile monitoring and reporting: CA$200 to CA$600 per month.
  • WordPress maintenance from a Canadian agency: CA$100 to CA$250 per month.
  • Dental-specific website platforms: CA$150 to CA$400 per month, all in.

For general small business websites in Canada, Impeka’s 2026 pricing article cites a Cyberperformance guide giving CA$50 to CA$200 per month for hosting, SSL and maintenance.2

How dental sites compare with general small business sites

Impeka’s March 2026 article gives CA$3,000 to CA$8,000 as a typical range example for a small business website in Canada, and cites Clutch’s 2026 pricing guide as saying agencies typically charge roughly $2,000 to $100,000 across the market.2 In our view, dental websites need more pages than a basic small business site, because each treatment benefits from its own page, and they carry extra work on regulated wording, privacy and accessibility.

What drives the cost of a dental website

  • Number of pages. Treatment pages, location pages and team profiles add up. A practice offering a wide range of services needs more pages than a focused one.
  • Content. Writing every page from interviews takes longer than editing content you supply. Content can be one of the larger costs in a dental website.
  • Compliance review. Checking claims, titles, fees and patient images against your regulator’s rules is skilled work, especially for a redesign of an older site.
  • Photography. Real photos of your team and rooms cost money but do more for trust than stock images.
  • Languages. A complete French version for Quebec, or other languages for your patients, adds translation, review and testing.
  • Integrations. Online booking software, practice management connections and secure forms add set-up and testing time.
  • Accessibility and speed. Building to WCAG Level AA and Core Web Vitals targets from the start costs less than fixing a site later, but it is still work that cheap quotes may skip.
  • Locations. Each clinic needs its own page, team links, Business Profile alignment and request routing.

How to compare quotes

Ask each provider for a written scope that lists:

  • Every page they will build.
  • Who writes the content, and whether it will be checked against your regulator’s advertising rules.
  • Whether the design is custom or a template, and who owns it.
  • Accessibility standard and how it will be tested.
  • What happens with forms and patient information.
  • Hosting, maintenance and what you keep if you leave.
  • The timeline, and what they need from you to meet it.

Two quotes with the same total can describe very different projects. A cheaper quote that leaves out content, compliance or accessibility can cost more once you add those back.

A note on these figures

These ranges come from commercial publishers, not independent surveys, and they reflect each publisher’s view of the market in 2026. Use them as a guide to scale, not as a price list. For a figure that fits your practice, ask for a written scope. Our pricing page explains how Dentoryxa prepares one.

Thinking in total cost, not launch cost

The launch price is only part of the picture. A simple way to compare options is to look at three years of cost, using the build price plus ongoing costs. As an illustration using WebDesignGuide’s published figures, an entry professional build at CA$4,500 to CA$8,000 plus WordPress maintenance at CA$100 to CA$250 per month comes to roughly CA$8,100 to CA$17,000 over three years.1 A subscription platform at CA$150 to CA$400 per month comes to CA$5,400 to CA$14,400 over the same period, with little or no launch cost but less ownership.1

These are illustrations from published ranges, not quotes. They show why the cheapest launch price is not always the cheapest option.

Questions to ask about ongoing costs

  • What is included in the monthly fee, and what is billed separately?
  • Who pays for software licences, plugins and booking tools?
  • How quickly are security updates applied?
  • What happens to the site, the domain and the content if you cancel?
  • Is there a minimum contract term?

Frequently asked questions

Why do quotes for the same site differ so much?

Providers include different things. One quote may cover writing, photography direction and accessibility testing, while another assumes you supply all content and skips testing. Compare scope line by line, not just totals.

Is a monthly subscription website cheaper?

It can be cheaper at the start and more expensive over several years. Check what you own if you cancel: the domain, the design and the content. Some subscription platforms keep the design when you leave.
